Grandfather's Love

Being a grandma I understand how much love you feel for your grandchildren.  They are a blessed joy from a child you created and loved.  It is an extension of that love, it is such a surreal feeling the amount of love that flows through you when gazing upon your grandchildren.  

This beautiful bride lost her beautiful grandmother and we know she was there in spirit, it flowed through her grandfather and all the family in attendance. This was such a beautiful moment for me. It made me realize how short life is and how you have to grab love when it is handed to you, do not hesitate.

What a story this old car must have.  Who were the occupants?  Were they taken out by law enforcement or the mafia types?  I don't know but looking at it spurred these questions and boy would I love to know the story.

Warm Winter Afternoon Senior Shoots

Things are a little bit slow for me, quite a difference from last year's shoots but I am so blessed and grateful to the seniors that have booked with me.  Such a great experience.  Here are two from this afternoon's shoots, both seniors are beautiful inside and out and so very kind. 

No One Tells You

No one tells you that when you have kids that you will worry about them more when they no longer live with you.

No one tells you that when your kids move out of the town you are in, and the others move in different directions, that you will give up your social life to visit them.

No one tells you that when your kids have kids and they move away, you will be more heartbroken had your child just moved away.

No one tells you they grown up too fast and that when they start their lives you are both proud and so sad!

Updates

Trying to figure out what I need to update you all on since my last post, not that there are many people on here. I ended up going to Sturgis, SD to the Biker Rally and hung out with the Mickey Utley Band.  I had the absolute time of my life, it was not only amazing to see friends again but to cross this off my bucket list. I made new friends, I saw new things and I took some time off to drive to Mt. Rushmore and see that for the first, I was blown away by the beauty of South Dakota.  Blessed.

My business is kicking off pretty good, learning a lot about Photoshop and even lighting.  I am grateful.  There isn't too much to report but enjoy a couple of images I took recently.
